Proud to support great causes in 2024

At GS Verde Group, we are proud to have supported a variety of charities, good causes and events throughout 2024.
We are pleased to have supported some fantastic charities and organisations that do incredible things across our communities throughout the year. Here we take a moment to reflect and celebrate the great things these good causes do:
Noah's Ark Children's Hospital
Based at the University Hospital of Wales, Noah's Ark Children's Hospital provides essential secondary healthcare for children in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan as well as care for children with complex health conditions across Mid, West and South Wales.
GS Verde Group was delighted to sponsor Noah's Ark Children's Hospital Charity at the Cardiff Half Marathon on October 7th, for the third year in a row. We were pleased also that members of our team attended and participated in the marathon also.

St Davids Hospice Care
Established in 1979 as the 'Gwent Hospice Project Group,' St David's Hospice Care has become one of the UK's largest hospice at home care providers. Based in Newport, the Hospice provides palliative care for patients facing life-limiting illnesses and support for their families throughout Newport, Caerphilly, Monmouthshire, Torfaen and within South and Mid Powys.
To help raise funds for St David's Hospice Care, our CEO Nigel Greenaway took on the challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. Nigel's efforts for the climb, which began on October 3rd, were successfully achieved on October 10th through the Lemosho Route.

2B Enterprising:
Swansea-based organisation, 2B Enterprising, dedicates its time to inspiring young people through providing educational resources to schools across South West England and South Wales. To help drive this mission, the organisation has written thought provoking books for young readers titled 'The Bumbles of Honeywood', which are also used as resources for primary school teachers to help develop enterprise skills amongst children.
As part of our initiative to support education, GS Verde Group is proud to support 2B Enterprising, by sponsoring a number of schools in Wales and the South West of England, to help provide these valuable materials for children across our communities and help to inspire the next generation.
"The children have love the sessions and their confidence in problem solving has grown. We have thoroughly enjoyed the programme and the children's skill have grown noticeably. The Gold Cup 100 Community Fund:
The GC 100 fund has been established to provide a legacy of positive impact to those that live and work in the vicinity of Cheltenham Racecourse. The fund allows applications from local community organisations that operate in the Cheltenham area to apply for grants ranging between £500 - £2000.
GS Verde Group was pleased to support in a fundraising event to help raise money toward the fund, with members of our team attending and participating in the Corporate Charity Rounders Tournament in September.

Grass Roots Sport
GS Verde Group are proud to sponsor numerous sporting clubs across our communities including Pontypridd Rugby Youth Team, Pontypridd United Football Club, Cardiff Harlequins Girls' Rugby Team and players at Cardiff Cosmos FC.
Founded in 1991, Pontypridd United Football Club is a community-focused organisation that fosters football talent of all levels. While the club has both male and female teams, it prides itself on its academy, which provides world-class facilities to children of all ages.
The football club provides an academy and grassroots infrastructure for over 500 children of all ages, to develop their football and social skills at the USW Sport Park in Treforest Industrial Estate, GS Verde is proud to sponsor the club and can see the impact it has on the local community.

Community of Purpose:
Community of Purpose is an award-winning not-for-profit social enterprise, founded in 2016.
The organisers run some incredible projects such as the Bristol Young Heroes Awards, and the Bristol Together Championships.
GS Verde have been long-standing supporters of Community of Purpose, and have seen the incredible work they do.
