It's been a busy 2024 for GS Verde Group as we proudly reflect on a year of helping our clients achieve long-terms goals through acquisitions, EOT's, MBO's, investments and fund-raising deals.
The Group is delighted to have worked on a record number of transactions in 2024.
Our unique multi-discipline approach has led to us supporting business owners on a range of transactions, from Trade Sale, Employee Ownership, Management Buy-Outs, Management Buy-Ins, Acquisition, Investment Raises & Corporate Re-Structures.
The volume of deal activity we have worked on, has again led to GS Verde being ranked number 1 by Experian's Market IQ Report, which follows GS Verde Group being ranked no.1 in 2021, 2022 and 2023, and ranking in the top 20 firms in the UK across the whole of the UK in 2023.

Funding
Guilford Street Laboratories, a spin-out of University College London, has successfully completed a pre-seed equity investment in a deal advised on by GS Verde Group.
Speaking on the investment, CEO of Guilford Street Laboratories, Dr Tomas Baldwin, said: "I am very grateful for the support from GS Verde Group during this raise. An award-winning manufacturing marketing platform, specialising in the MedTech sector, has successfully concluded a substantial equity funding round in a deal advised on by the GS Verde Group.
Already established as an innovative force in the industry thanks to its pioneering virtual marketing services, this second round of funding will allow the business to develop its key products further and secure new pathways to growth.

A UK-based Biotechnology company successfully secured an equity fundraising investment earlier this year, in a deal advised on by GS Verde Group.
Founded in 2017, the company design, produce & test novel biomaterials through a sustainable process and offer bespoke services. As a result of the successful equity, the company will benefit from having access to capital, gain further knowledge from experienced stakeholders and maintain the function of its daily business operations.

The company, founded almost 10 years ago, provides private market companies with software technology and infrastructure to help enhance client experience and efficiency.

Acquisition
Flotek Group, a leading IT and Managed Services provider, announced the acquisition of a majority share in OES, a North Wales-based Managed IT, Cyber Security, Managed Print, and Web Development firm.
This strategic move expands Flotek's regional presence in the area, alongside its Chester office acquired last year, and pushes the Group to achieve a turnover of more than £10.5 million.

Abatec Recruitment, a leading recruitment firm based in the Southwest, is pleased to announce the acquisition of St David Recruitment Services, a prominent recruitment agency located in Cardiff, South Wales.
This strategic move strengthens Abatec's foothold in the region and broadens its service offerings to a wider range of clients.

Established in 2010 by co-founders Phillippe Gill and Jason Howell, The Real Wrap Co. started as a healthy fast-food store in Bristol, providing high-quality, ready-made sandwiches and wraps.

Denman & Sons, a family run independent builders merchant based in Caerphilly, has been acquired by LBS Group, the largest independent builders' merchants in South Wales, in a transaction advised on by GS Verde Group.
Since its establishment in 1986, Denman & Sons has provided valuable service to its customers across Caerphilly, Blackwood, Newport and Cardiff with staff delivering their expertise in hardware, paints and glass.

D.G. Heath (Timber Products), a family-run timber, landscape and Flooring Supply business based in Swansea, has been acquired by LBS Group, the largest independent builders' merchants in South Wales, in a transaction advised on by GS Verde Group.

The company has over 20 years of experience in delivering excellent and valuable quality service to its residents in need of nursing care. The trade sale will see the new owners, based in Newport, carry on the legacy of the care home, along with maintaining its services and help grow the business for long-term success.

HSG FM Group, a Cardiff-headquartered business, has successfully acquired Radish, a contract catering services company, in a deal advised on by GS Verde Group.
Established in 2015, HSG FM Group provides a range of services to support businesses in meeting specific requirements to a professional and high standard. The GS Verde Group, a UK & Ireland based dealmaking business, has expanded with the acquisition of West Midlands based Anderson Shaw Corporate Finance.
This is the 3rd acquisition by GS Verde Group, as part of its buy and build strategy and is the latest in numerous announcements so far in 2024, including the announcement of the company's admission on the prestigious secondary markets share dealing platform, JP Jenkins.

Logistics company Specialist Vehicle Logistics, headquartered in the West Midlands, has been acquired in a deal advised on by Anderson Shaw, part of the GS Verde Group.
Specialist Vehicle Logistics were acquired by DMN Group. The deal looks to enhance DMN's capacity to provide comprehensive logistics services across the UK.

SDI Group PLC has acquired Northern Ireland based InspecVision, in a deal advised on by dealmaking experts, GS Verde Group.
SDI Group PLC, the buy and build group, focused on companies which design and manufacture specialist lab equipment, industrial & scientific sensors and industrial & scientific products, acquires InspecVision Ltd ("InspecVision"), a designer and manufacturer of computer vision-based measurement systems for industrial applications, for a net consideration of £6.1m.

Founded in 2011, Cardiff Hydraulics Ltd has cemented its strong reputation across Wales and West England by becoming a leading provider of a 24/7 mobile emergency hose replacement service.

South Wales-based SJ Environmental Limited has completed a management buyout, in a deal backed by Development Bank of Wales and advised on by GS Verde Group and Cadre Advisory.
The business, founded in 2005 by Andrea and Stephen Burt, is the franchisee operator of national plumbing and drainage specialists Dyno-Rod, operating across the South Wales area.

The Directors of Chepstow recruitment agency NuStaff have completed a management buy-out, in a deal advised on by leading dealmakers GS Verde Group that has been part-funded by a six-figure loan from the Development Bank of Wales.

Management Buy-In
Cardiff-based recruitment company, The Recolution Group, has successfully completed a management buy-in, in a deal advised on by GS Verde Group.
Established in 2009 by co-founders Dale Williams and Duncan Powell, The Recolution Group is home to a variety of recruitment brands including Yolk Recruitment, City Executive Search, Meritus Talent and Conexus DX. The company also recruits middle management and executive roles across various sectors with a global customer base including financial services, legal, commercial, defence, technology and engineering.

Employee Ownership Trust (EOT)
GS Verde Group is pleased to have advised on an Employee Ownership Buyout of an established Fibre Optic Engineering business, with its staff becoming majority shareholders of the business.
For over 15 years, the company has provided high-quality services to its clients including cabling, splicing, surveying, and spine jointing.
